What is the cancellation policy at SLS Playa Mujeres?
Our cancellation policy varies depending on the rate selected at the time of booking. Flexible rates allow cancellation within a specified window before arrival, while promotional or non-refundable rates may carry stricter conditions. The applicable policy is always displayed clearly during the booking process.

Do you offer flexible booking options or special rates?
Yes. We offer flexible rate plans that permit changes or cancellations within the permitted window. Seasonal promotions, early-booking offers, and extended-stay discounts may also be available depending on travel dates and availability. Visit our offers page for all available rates.

How can I modify or cancel an existing reservation?

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Additional payment options may vary depending on the booking channel.

Is a deposit required to confirm a reservation?
Non-refundable and promotional rate bookings may require a deposit or full prepayment at the time of booking. Flexible rates typically require only a credit card guarantee. All deposit requirements are clearly communicated during the booking process.

Are there additional fees or taxes I should be aware of?
Yes. An environmental tax of MXN 36 (approximately USD 2.20) per person, per day is collected at check-in, in accordance with current State of Quintana Roo regulations. A pre-authorisation hold of MXN 2,000 per day is also placed on your credit card for incidentals. Spa treatments, motorised water sports, and select premium experiences are not covered by the all-inclusive plan and carry additional charges.

What are the check-in and check-out times at SLS Playa Mujeres?
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 12:00 PM. Early check-in may be available upon request — we recommend calling ahead on +52 998 313 3717 at the time of booking. If your room is not yet ready on arrival, our concierge team will store your luggage so you can enjoy the beach or pools right away

What identification is required at check-in?
Foreign nationals are required to present a valid passport. Mexican citizens may present a valid government-issued ID

What is the policy for guests under 18?

What is SLS Elite?
SLS Elite is our premier VIP tier, offering an elevated all-inclusive experience. Elite guests enjoy duplex suites with private rooftop jacuzzis, personal butler service, private check-in, exclusive Elite pool and beach areas, premium spirits included, priority restaurant reservations, one complimentary hydrotherapy session at Ciel Spa per person per stay, packing and unpacking service, two complimentary pressed garments per person per stay, one complimentary private fitness session subject to availability, a personalised property tour, and 10% discounts at Ciel Spa, on food and beverage, and at the lobby retail shops.

Are accessible rooms available for guests with disabilities?
Yes. Accessible rooms are available upon request and subject to availability. All public circulation areas throughout the resort are wheelchair accessible via ramps or elevators, and all public restrooms are equipped with accessible facilities.

Are pets allowed at SLS Playa Mujeres?
Yes. Pets are welcome at SLS Playa Mujeres, subject to our pet policy. The maximum permitted weight is 18 kg. A one-time deep cleaning fee of USD 169 applies. Guests are responsible for any damage caused by their pet. Please note that pets are not permitted in restaurants, pool areas, or on the beach.

Is Wi-Fi available, and is it complimentary?

What is included in the all-inclusive plan at SLS Playa Mujeres?
Your all-inclusive stay includes meals and beverages — including alcoholic drinks — at all restaurants and bars, non-motorised water sports, access to three pools, private beach access with cabanas, the Kids Club and Teens Club, fitness classes, and nightly entertainment. Please note that motorised water sports, spa treatments at Ciel Spa, and certain premium experiences carry an additional charge.

Are alcoholic beverages included? Are any premium brands extra?
Yes. A wide selection of well-known spirit and wine brands is included in the all-inclusive plan. Premium spirits and wines by the bottle are available at an additional charge. SLS Elite guests have premium spirits included as standard.

What children’s pricing applies under the all-inclusive plan?
Children aged 0–5 stay and eat free when sharing existing bedding with their parents. Children aged 6–11 are subject to an additional fee of USD 80 per child, per night. Cribs and extra beds are subject to availability and room layout restrictions.

Is room service included, and what are the hours?
Yes. 24-hour room service is fully included in the all-inclusive plan at no additional charge.

Are there premium dining experiences available at an extra cost?
Yes. In addition to standard all-inclusive dining, premium experiences are available including a private dinner in the wine cellar, the Liora Package, a romantic dinner on the beach, and a weekly barbecue event. All premium dining experiences are subject to an additional charge and prior reservation.

SLS Playa Mujeres features 17 dining and bar venues, all included in the all-inclusive plan. Options include Fi’lia (Italian), Cleo (Mediterranean), Union (New York steakhouse), Caracol (Mexican), The Market (buffet), Smoke & Mirrors (speakeasy bar), Golden Hour (coffee bar), and three beach bars, among others. What spa and wellness facilities are available at SLS Playa Mujeres?
Ciel Spa spans 20,000 square feet and features thermal baths, an outdoor tranquility pool, 20 private treatment rooms, a sauna, and a steam room. Ciel Spa is reserved exclusively for adults. Spa treatments are not included in the standard all-inclusive plan, although SLS Elite guests receive one complimentary hydrotherapy session per person per stay. Bookings can be made through the Concierge desk.

What pools does SLS Playa Mujeres have, and what are the hours?
The resort features outdoor pools including a kids’ pool with water slides, a family pool, and the adults-only Twiggy Pool. All pools are open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

What is the Twiggy Pool experience?
Twiggy Pool is our signature adults-only pool, where modern luxury meets vibrant Caribbean energy. Guests can unwind in a stylish and exclusive atmosphere with handcrafted cocktails, curated music, and exceptional service.

What gym and fitness facilities are available?
SLS Playa Mujeres features two SLS SCULPT fitness centres — one open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and another available 24 hours — along with two outdoor fitness areas and a Jungle Gym on the sand. Children are not permitted in the fitness facilities. Teenagers aged 15–17 may access the gym with written parental or guardian authorisation.

Are fitness classes available, and are they included in the all-inclusive plan?
Yes. A variety of fitness classes are included in the all-inclusive plan. You can view the schedule on the SLS app and book through the Concierge desk or directly with our coaches at the gym.

Is there golf nearby?
Yes. Playa Mujeres Golf Club is just five minutes from the resort, featuring an 18-hole, Greg Norman-designed course along the Caribbean coastline. Our concierge team can arrange tee times and club rentals from brands including Callaway and TaylorMade.

BEACH & WATERSPORTS

Does SLS Playa Mujeres have a private beach?
Yes. The resort offers 400 metres of private beachfront with complimentary cabanas and sun loungers, reserved exclusively for our guests.

What non-motorised water sports are included in the all-inclusive plan?
The following non-motorised water sports are complimentary for all guests: paddleboarding, kayaking, and sailing catamaran. Motorised water sports such as jet skiing are available at an additional charge and can be arranged directly at the beach.

Does SLS Playa Mujeres experience seaweed (sargassum)?
While seasonal sargassum can affect parts of the Mexican Caribbean coastline — typically between March and October — Playa Mujeres generally experiences significantly less seaweed than Cancún’s Hotel Zone, due to its geographic location and natural coastal conditions. Our team monitors beach conditions daily and works continuously to maintain pristine conditions for our guests. You can check the current state of the beach at any time via our Live Beach Cam.

What activities and entertainment are available at SLS Playa Mujeres?
There is always something happening at SLS Playa Mujeres. Evening programming includes live shows, DJs, live music, an indoor cinema, and a nightclub. During the day, guests can enjoy non-motorised water sports, basketball, beach volleyball, and fitness classes. We also host themed events and parties throughout the week. Can the hotel assist with special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, or proposals? Absolutely. Our on-site Concierge team is delighted to help arrange celebrations during your stay. Is SLS Playa Mujeres family-friendly?
Yes. SLS Playa Mujeres offers dedicated pools, age-specific activity programmes, the Coati Kids Club, a Teens Lounge, and a wide range of inclusive amenities for guests of all ages — while adults can still enjoy exclusive spaces throughout the resort. Find all details on our Families page.

Is there a kids’ club, and what ages does it cater to?
Yes. Coati Kids Club is complimentary for children aged 4–11 and features arts and crafts, dance, and activities that change weekly, as well as an outdoor adventure course and a water playground. Morning and afternoon Family Time sessions are available where parents are welcome to join. For updated session times, check the SLS app or visit the Coati Kids Club directly.

Is there programming for teenagers?
Yes. Teenagers have their own dedicated Teens Lounge with tailored programming, games, and activities designed to keep them engaged throughout their stay.

What services are available for infants?
The Coati Kids Club offers Family Time sessions in the morning and afternoon where parents are welcome to join with young children. Babysitting and nanny services are available through the Concierge desk at an additional charge, subject to availability. Cribs are available on request, subject to availability and room layout.

Are there family-specific pools and areas?

Where is SLS Playa Mujeres located?
SLS Playa Mujeres is located in Playa Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Mexico, on the northern tip of the Cancún corridor.

How far is SLS Playa Mujeres from Cancún International Airport (CUN)?
The resort is approximately 30–35 minutes from Cancún International Airport, around 17 miles away. We strongly recommend arranging a private transfer in advance by contacting our team at sls.playamujeres.cr@slshotels.com , slspm.reservations@slshotels.com , or by calling +52 998 313 3717. A standard taxi from the airport costs approximately USD 50.

Is parking available at SLS Playa Mujeres?
Yes. Complimentary on-site parking and valet service are available for all hotel guests.

What transportation options are available locally?
Our in-lobby travel agency can assist with a range of transportation arrangements. Car rental services are also available through agencies at the resort, and guests may use ride-hailing apps such as Uber for local travel.

How close is SLS Playa Mujeres to local attractions?
The resort is steps away from the Punta Sam Ferry Terminal, where a 20-minute ferry ride takes you to Isla Mujeres for beaches, snorkelling, and the Underwater Museum (MUSA). The El Meco archaeological site is just 10 minutes away. Downtown Cancún is approximately 25 minutes from the resort. Day trips to Chichén Itzá take around 2.5 to 3 hours, and Tulum ruins are also a popular destination. Our concierge can arrange excursions and boat trips and fishing charters from our private marina.

Can the concierge arrange excursions and day trips?
Yes. Our Concierge team works closely with Tropical Incentives, our partner agency conveniently located within the hotel. They offer a wide range of experiences including water activities, excursions, theme parks, shows, and more. Please note that excursions are not included in the all-inclusive plan.

What should I know about currency and entry requirements for Mexico?
The official currency is the Mexican Peso (MXN), although US dollars are widely accepted at the resort and in most tourist areas. Credit and debit cards are accepted throughout the property. International visitors must hold a valid passport and meet Mexico’s entry requirements for their nationality — we recommend checking with your local Mexican embassy or consulate before travelling. Customs regulations apply to certain goods and currency, so please review Mexico’s customs guidelines prior to your trip. All guests staying in the State of Quintana Roo are subject to an environmental tax charged per night per reservation, in accordance with current government regulations.

What loyalty or membership programme does SLS Playa Mujeres offer?
SLS’s membership programme is Dis-loyalty, a travel and dining membership that unlocks savings across more than 120 hotels and 200 restaurants, bars and cafés worldwide. Members enjoy 20% off their first stay at every participating hotel, 10% off return stays, 10% off food and drink, and one complimentary barista-made drink every day. Unlike traditional hotel loyalty programmes, Dis-loyalty provides immediate savings from your first booking, with no points, tiers or blackout dates.

How do I join Dis-loyalty and how much does membership cost?
Membership is a 12-month subscription priced in local currency, with equivalent pricing of $218 / £144 / €180 / AED720 per year. You can join online at dis-loyalty.com, when making a booking on SLS, or via the Dis-loyalty app on iOS and Android. Your digital membership card is activated immediately after subscribing, so you can start using your benefits straight away.

Can I use Dis-loyalty at SLS, and can I book more than one room?
Yes. As SLS’s membership programme, Dis-loyalty gives members 20% off their first stay and 10% off return stays when booking eligible rates through the Dis-loyalty platform, along with access to member-only offers. You can book up to two rooms per stay, with the second room discounted at 10%; all bookings are flexible and paid on arrival. Reservations must be made through Dis-loyalty at least four days in advance, and the member must be one of the staying guests.

Can I use Dis-loyalty in the restaurant, bar or café without staying at the hotel?
Yes. You don’t need to stay at the hotel to enjoy Dis-loyalty dining benefits. Members receive 10% off food and drink at participating restaurants, bars and cafés for groups of up to six, and can redeem one complimentary barista-made drink per day by presenting their digital membership card when sitting in.

What other benefits does Dis-loyalty membership include?
Beyond stay and dining discounts, members get early access to selected hotel openings and up to 50% off newly opened hotels during launch periods, plus exclusive member-only promotions throughout the year. Benefits vary by property and are subject to availability.

Can I be a member of both Dis-loyalty and ALL Accor?
Yes. You can be a member of both Dis-loyalty and ALL Accor. The two programmes operate independently, and many guests choose to use both. However, Dis-loyalty and ALL benefits cannot be applied to the same transaction. For example, you may choose to book a hotel stay using ALL and earn or redeem Reward points, while using your Dis-loyalty membership separately for dining discounts, complimentary drinks or other eligible member benefits during your visit.

Can I use ALL Accor benefits at SLS Playa Mujeres?
Yes. Eligible guests can earn and redeem ALL Reward points when booking qualifying stays through Accor channels, subject to the terms and conditions of the programme. ALL is separate from Dis-loyalty. While ALL focuses on points earning and rewards, Dis-loyalty provides immediate savings on hotel stays, dining and drinks.

How do I join ALL Accor?
ALL Accor is free to join and provides access to member rates, points earning and reward benefits across participating hotels. You can enrol directly through ALL.com and begin earning Reward points on eligible stays, subject to programme terms and conditions.
