SUSTAINABILITY

AT SLS BAHA MAR

SLS Baha Mar is dedicated to sustainability through key initiatives: eliminating single-use plastics by 2025, achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, and reducing water consumption. By 2026, we aim for Green Key certification for all Ennismore hotels. We’re also committed to cutting food waste by 60% by 2030 and increasing female leadership while supporting charitable causes and combating exploitation.

We are committed to significant progress across key sustainability and social goals:

Plastics: Eliminate 60 single-use plastic items and implement refillable dispensers in 50% of hotels.

Eco-labels: Certify 30% of Ennismore hotels with eco-labels.
Food Sustainability: Reduce food waste in baseline hotels and define food waste baselines in 52 more.

Social: Increase female leadership representation, establish ESG committees in all managed hotels, and ensure 100% of teams complete Human Rights training.

Additionally, we invite our guests to join our mission by offsetting their carbon footprint for both their stay and travel:  https://bahamar.com/climate-friendly-travel/.  Through these initiatives, we are not only enhancing our commitment to the environment but also fostering a more inclusive and socially responsible future.
