Las Vegas is known for vibrant neon lights, extravagant shows, and unsurpassed nightlife events, but scattered across the city are some of the most breathtaking works of art created by renowned artists. Some galleries are more hidden than others, so here are three unexpected art venues that caught our attention:
Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health – While the Center for Brain Health presents some of the most colorful and creative original pieces of art inside, the events center is designed by the famed Frank Gehry, making it artwork in itself. From the artwork available for sale, a portion of proceeds go to the nonprofit Keep Memory Alive to fund the treatment and research of neurological disorders at Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.
The Smith Center – Featuring both indoor and outdoor art, the Smith Center dedicates the art to the community and is available to be seen all year-round. Internationally recognized artist, Tim Bavington, uses music as the genesis of his paintings and has several pieces located within the center.
Amanda Harris Gallery – Located in the downtown arts district and attached to Lady Silvia, a speakeasy-era jazz bar, is the Amanda Harris Gallery filled with incredible contemporary artworks that speak of today’s culture. Enjoy a specialty cocktail and head on over to the gallery to shock your eyes.
