Question: What do you get when you cross Chris Farley, David Spade, a 1967 Plymouth GTX, a fat guy in a little coat and cow tipping with a failing business and the quest to sell half-a-million brake pads?
Answer: The world’s most epic road trip.
If there’s one thing we learned from this dynamic duo in “Tommy Boy,” it’s how to make it across the country in one piece (the Plymouth almost didn’t make it but we can thank the deer for that…) and HOLY SCHNIKIES was it hilarious to watch.
If you’re looking for a quick weekend getaway, look no further! Here are a few of our not-too-far favorite spots from Vegas:
- Los Angeles, California – Just four hours to sun, sand and our sister from another mister, SLS Beverly Hills, need we say more?
- Sedona, Arizona –Famous for its giant red rocks and energy vortex (seriously, spiritual teachers from all over the world come here), Sedona is perfect for an impromptu camping trip! Spend the day exploring hiking trails and local wineries and spend the night star-gazing. Not too shabby for a four-hour drive.
- Springdale, Utah – Home to Zion National Park, Springdale is a short two-and-a-half hour drive and if you’re still feeling lucky from Las Vegas, we suggest climbing Angels Landing. Nothing tempts fate like the last strenuous half-mile to the 5,000 foot summit that is sharp, slippery and OH MY GOSH so, so narrow. Did we mention it’s narrow?
