The Liberty Bell. Cheese steaks. And now you can add SLS to the list of awesome things about Philadelphia.
Today we are sending our love to The City of Brotherly Love! sbe announced plans to partner with developer Carl E. Dranoff to build SLS International, a 47-story, luxury boutique hotel and condominium tower at Broad and Spruce Streets. The Philadelphia Inquirer broke the news this morning with a front page feature about the latest addition to the SLS collection.
Here are three rad things about the new property that you should know…
- SLS International is making its mark on Philly in a big way – the property is slated to be the tallest building created for residential use.
- The property will be located in the heart of a developing cultural hub in the city called the Avenue of the Arts, breathing new life into a storied part of the city, much like our move onto the north end of the Strip here at SLS Las Vegas.
- SLS International gets its name from the musical history of Philadelphia International Records, a label founded in the 70s that was responsible for soulful jams like “Back Stabbers” and “Love Train” by The O’Jays and “Me and Mrs. Jones” by Billy Paul. One word: swag.
