Unveiled in October 2024, Michelin Star Chef Juan Manuel Barrientos’ new restaurant celebrates the joy, flavor, and culture of the colorful streets of Cartagena De Indias.

Juan Manuel Barrientos, known as Juanma, is a Michelin-starred chef, Gaggenau Black Jacket Society member, entrepreneur, and founder of the renowned Elcielo Hospitality Group, with locations in Medellín, Bogotá, Miami, and Washington, D.C. His innovative approach blends culinary artistry with the vibrant flavors of Latin America. Named one of Latin America’s 50 Best Chefs, Juanma’s creative culinary lab in Medellín developes hundreds of new dishes each year. With a dynamic portfolio of restaurants and bars, he continues to make waves in the gastronomic world, earning international acclaim and inspiring his global audience.

At Cartagena South Beach, Chef Juanma presents an elevated exploration of Caribbean and South American flavors. The menu, rich in coastal inspiration, features an array of thoughtfully crafted small plates, ceviches, and entrées from both land and sea, each capturing the vibrant essence of Cartagena’s cultural mosaic.
Enhancing this experience, the craft cocktail program showcases artfully composed libations that evoke the spirit of the Caribbean, with tropical botanicals and exotic fruits, making each sip a sensory journey.

This Thanksgiving, Cartagena by Michelin-starred Chef Juan Manuel Barrientos invites you on a culinary journey along Colombia’s sunlit coast. Our holiday menu is infused with the warmth and vibrant flair of the Caribbean, crafted to make this season unforgettable. Savor the Roasted Turkey Breast Roulade (Enrollado)—tender turkey filled with minced pork, bacon, and seasonal fruits and nuts, complemented by Choclo, Arepa & Chorizo Stuffing and a lively Uchuva Cranberry Aji.
Our Latin-inspired twist continues with Caribbean-spiced Mash and rich Turkey Gravy, bringing Cartagena’s flavors and stories to your Thanksgiving table. For a sweet finale, enjoy our Sweet Potato Pie with Spiced Caramelized Pineapple.
