Sustainable Food Practices: Achieve a 60% reduction in food waste by 2030 via ongoing monitoring, staff training, and continuous process improvements.

IMPLEMENTATION AND MONITORING

Each department is responsible for integrating this policy into its daily operations.

Specific performance indicators will be established, with regular progress reviews.

Human Resources and the Environmental Management team will lead continuous sustainability training for all staff.

Guests and suppliers will be encouraged to actively participate in sustainable practices.

Green Key is an international eco-label for tourism facilities and a leading standard of excellence in environmental responsibility and sustainable operation since 1994.

SLS Playa Mujeres is proud to be officially certified by Green Key, reflecting our commitment to meeting rigorous international standards across environmental management, energy conservation, water efficiency, waste reduction, and community engagement.

The Green Key programme is run internationally by the Foundation for Environmental Education and represents a well-established framework for sustainable operations, supported by thorough documentation and regular on-site audits to ensure ongoing compliance.

For our guests, the Green Key certification is a trusted symbol that their stay contributes to a more sustainable future, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (2015–2030).
